Defining Moments

"Our lives are full of defining moments, some of these moments are thrust upon us, but some of these moments are as a direct result of decisive decisions we take in our lives.

The defining moment for me was that I had a car crash, I didn't choose that, it just happened, but the decisive decision I took was to not let life drift along without me, it was to get back out there, and give life a go!

By choosing to play that first game of rugby, that was televised, someone from the Paralympics association saw that, read the written press, and realised that I used to be a track and field athlete, eventually they persuaded me to look at athletics again.

I guess the rest is history!

So, I urge you, never be scared to take a decisive decision in your lives, as you don't know what defining moments that decision can and will lead you on to."
